BY-LAWS
The name of the organization shall be called
BLESS THE CHILDREN FOUNDATION (BTCF).
The Organization has an office located at 6812 Oakland Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149 as well as other places that shall be designated by the CEO from time to time. The Organization is not for profit making, or personal financial gain. The assets and income shall not be used to benefit the CEO, BOD, and any member
of the organization. The assets and income shall only be used to promote the Foundation purpose as described below:
First, reasonable compensation/payment shall be made to employee as the need may be. Second, Independent contractors shall be paid as per service provided.
The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes. The Organization shall not participate in political activity in any manner.
Welcome to our Volunteer or staff. You are now a member of a team dedicated to giving services in a collective effort to provide the ultimate result / benefit to the precious children we provide services for.
The nature of our Foundation is predicated on providing a total voluntary service. This objective can only be accomplished through a volunteer with loyalty, pride, and devotion to the cause.
DISCLAIMER
Membership or volunteer is at will and is voluntarily entered into. Member is free to leave at any time with or without cause. Similarly, BTCF is free to conclude the membership at any time with or without cause. We hope our relationship will be permanent and mutually beneficial; it should be understood that neither BTCF nor member has entered into contract of membership.
HARASSMENT
The Foundation will not tolerate unwelcome verbal, physical or visual conduct, which harasses, disrupts or interferes with another’s work performance. BTCF will take any report of harassment or suspected harassment very seriously.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Activities of staff and volunteer involving other business organizations must not interfere with BTCF.
DRESS CODE AND IDENTIFICATION CARD
Each staff or member will receive an ID card to fully identify him /her. This ID card must be worn while performing any duty of the Foundation.
It is the intent of the Foundation that all volunteers and staff exercise a reasonable degree of moderation in their dress and grooming, which respects the dignity and decorum of the Foundation and the sensibilities of the children we provide services for.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All operational documents (i.e. census, information, policy, procedure, forms, program description, contract, project record, etc.) are considered proprietary information and are the sole property of BTCF. Any removal, copying or sharing outside of the Foundation is prohibited. Any presentation, marketing materials, etc. created for the Foundation by a volunteer or staff remains the property of BTCF.
The Foundation has established these bylaws regarding the rights & responsibilities of staff and volunteer. The administration is responsible to implement the following:
1. Staff/ volunteer shall receive appropriate orientation to the Foundation.
2. No member shall be punished or harassed by the Foundation because of the effort to avail
himself/herself rights.
3. Membership is available without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender stereotyping,
national origin, marital status, disability, handicap, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable local and federal law.
FISCAL YEAR
The fiscal year of Bless the Children Foundation shall be from March 1st to February 28th.
QUORUM
Every meeting of the Foundation at any level must be attended by 55 percent of the membership or body.
Volunteer or Staff must not:
1. Solicit other staff or volunteer while providing service in the name of BTCF about non BTCF
business or for outside organization.
2. Distribute business literature or literature for other organization while performing duty for the Foundation.
The sole exceptions to these rules are for solicitation and distribution related to charitable and community activities supported by BTCF and approved by the CEO.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The use, possession, sale, manufacture, distribution, concealment, receipt, transportation or being under the influence of the following items or substances while representing or providing service in the name of the Foundation by any staff / volunteer is prohibited:
1. Consuming alcohol beverage while performing a task in the name of the Foundation
2. Illegal drugs or controlled substances, marijuana, etc. which in anyway affect safety, work
ability, judgment, response or affect the safety of anyone and the job.
All contractors, vendors and supplier personal and other third party will be subject to these rules.
